Microsoft India today launched Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions (MDAS) platform in India to trigger online advertisement boom in the country which was currently on a below par level when compared to the vast potential.
As against 9000 advertisers on the television channels and over two lakh on the print media, Internet today attracted hardly 400 advertisers within the country and the revenue ranged between USD 120 to 130 million which was hardly one per cent of the total advertisement spend, MADS India head Rajnish told newspersons here today.

Microsoft today launched its digital advertising platform in the country, aiming to grab a sizeable pie of the online advertising market, which is currently pegged at about $130 million.
"The total advertising market in India is of $5 billion. But the online advertising market is still minuscule. We find there is enough scope (for growth)," Rajnish, India Head, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions, said here. India is the only country outside the US where the company has launched the service. |

NDTV Convergence Takes over Ad Sales Duties |

[by Cerius Shah] NDTV Convergence has taken over ad sales duties from its parent firm NDTV Media. Rajesh Kumar has been elevated from managing syndication and digital sales to National Head of Sales. Previously we had reported that NDTV media was handling ad sales duties for MSN Desktop TV. Word is that MSN has been pleased with their performance and renewed the contract.
